Digital Blast Tutorial in Adobe Photoshop

This Adobe Photoshop tutorial shows how to create a very simple digital blast similar to effects from the matrix movies

Step 1

Go to FILE/NEW and create a new document with the following settings:

Press D on keyboard to reset colours to black and white.

Step 3

Go to FILTER/RENDER/CLOUDS

Step 4

Go to FILTER/PIXELATE/MEZZOTINT and ajust the settings as follows:

Step 5

Go to FILTER/BLUR/RADICAL BLUR and ajust the settings as follows:

Step 6

Go to FILTER GALLERY and select STYLIZE/GLOWING EDGES and ajust the setting as follows:

Step 7

Go to LAYER/NEW/LAYER and fill with a colour of choice.
Select the blending options for this layer and ajust the settings as follows:
