Following are my honest and heartfelt comments on AUSWEBS assistance and professional help to get my site up and running:
AUSWEB have been bombarded with questions from me and not once have they treated me with anything but professional courtesy and full and explicit answers:
So it is my pleasure to pen (shows how old I am) a few words on behalf of the folks at AUSWEB and the host in general.
First I am 62 years, and not computer literate. I wanted to write a Web Page. I went into sites and viewed the source and found a lot of code that in general was quite confusing, so I searched through Microsoft and came up with FrontPage. This was great as it allowed me to see how plain text was formatted in HTML and my first site was designed. I went to a WP Designer to find out a good Host and thankfully he recommended AUSWEB, and so began an enjoyable journey.
After registering and purchasing our domain name I thought we were ready to post to the web, not easy for a caveman to do. An enquiry to AUSWEB resulted in me, in line with their suggestion, using Mozilla composer to recreate the site. After many days and many more questions to AUSWEB I had my site finished; I thought! Now how do I get it on the web? Back to AUSWEB, these guys must be getting sick of me by now, and put my question, again full and helpful instructions were forthcoming, and resulted in the page being posted on the Web.
Even then it required many more questions and answers including much patience on behalf of AUSWEB, my site is running with keywords inserted and it is logged into search engines.
I cannot thank them enough or extol their patience and knowledge highly enough, these people made a confusing task clear resulting in our site being up and running. I know in the future I will redesign and reformat the site to be more ‘professional’ but it doing what we want.
